My Story
My name is Bernadine Joseph, AKA Juliet Charles “Songbird” hailing from
Trinidad & Tobago. I love life and every adventure that comes with it. My faith in God has given me a firm foundation to stand upon so I can accomplish my goals. I am a descendent from a line of great cooks. Instinctively therefore, my desire or goal was to bring a taste of the Caribbean to you through my drinks. My grandmother who was the head cook for a well-known hotel during her time, was famous for her awesome dishes and delicious drinks. My mother did not fall far from the tree either, she was a master in the kitchen. I would like to say I inherited that gene! You will agree with me when you taste my drinks. Let me introduce to you Sorrel, Ginger Beer, and Mauby – they are all natural, no additives or preservatives, just pure deliciousness! So let us take a trip together as we venture out to explore the taste of my culture and create great memories together.

The sorrel drink is made from the flower/fruit of the hibiscus plant, that is usually
enjoyed for the Christmas season. It’s smooth, silky texture and rich flavor will
ignite your taste buds, creating unforgettable memories. This drink is festive, and
its ruby red color will brighten up your dinner table or any social event. Enjoy
chilled or on ice.The stimulating spicy and good for you ginger beer is the booster for your immune system and help with inflammatory responses. The ginger root is a powerhouse for our bodies and a delectable beverage for any event. Can be use as a mixer for any of your favorite drink.Our Mauby drink, “the robust flavor” of the group is the drink handed down from generations to generations. It is made from the bark of the Colubrina tree. Mix with spices to enhance flavor and taste. During the hot, humid weather the mauby lady was a welcome sight for the thirsty.
What a thirst quencher? And a remedy for GI upset or gas. It is truly a delicious
drink.
